I moved the banner we made last night and it is now in our Prayer Space.
We then gathered to hear the Good Friday story once more.
We sat at what, on Wednesday evening, had been our Altar of Sacrifice whilst people read the Suffering Servant reading from Isaiah 52 onwards, and the Hebrews 10 reading. After some silence we then went on to pick up the story of the arrest in Matthew 26 through to his sentencing by Pilate a chapter later.
Standing at the Cross we heard the readings of his torture and crucifixion, spending time here in silence and awe at his love and obedience.
We finished our Final Hour moving to the garden and hearing of the burial of the body and the rolling of the stone across the entrance. Good Friday is moving on so many levels, and so many aspects of the story strike a chord with us today.
These three sessions since Wednesday have been awesome to work though and it has been refreshing to be able to spend such a chunk of time creatively.
