Poetry in motion

This caught my eye concerning the man widely regarded as the worst poet...ever...

A sample

"So the train mov'd slowly along the Bridge of Tay,
Until it was about midway,
Then the central girders with a crash gave way,
And down went the train and passengers into the Tay..."

...turning tragedy into, er, something worse.

I wonder if he ever turned his hand to hymns?
